BCG should be offered to those intending to live or work in high prevalance countries (tuberculosis rates or 40/100,000 or greater) for extended periods (generally one month or longer), who have not been previously vaccinated, and who have a negative tuberculin skin test.
No other vaccinations should be given in the same arm as the BCG vaccination for up to 3 months. If other 'live' vaccines such as Yellow Fever are required they should be given at the same time as the BCG vaccination or 4 weeks before or after its administration.
